The Ferrari 812 Superfast: A Detailed Review
FAerrari, a name synonymous with opulence and high-octane sports cars, has taken the automotive industry by tempestuous winds with their latest masterpiece, the Ferrari 812 Superfast, featuring impressive horsepower, lightning-fast acceleration, and cutting-edge technology. Our comprehensive evaluation of the Ferrari 812 Superfast delves into its meticulous design, impeccable performance, advanced features, and more.
Engine Performance
The Ferrari 812 Superfast, an illustrious high-performance vehicle crafted by the revered Italian automaker, Ferrari, is a striking manifestation of unparalleled grandeur. A quintessential representation of excellence, this front engine rear wheel drive coupe was introduced to the market in 2017 as a high anticipated replacement for its predecessor the Ferrari F12berlinetta. The Ferrari 812 had a 6.5 liter V12 engine which delivers 789 horsepower and 530 lb-ft of torque.
Design
The blueprint is grounded on the F12berlinetta, with certain new style indicators like whole LED headlamps, air vents on the bonnet, quad circular tail lights, and a body-colored rear diffuser. The double-block, tall tail architecture of the vehicle is purposed to mirror that of the 365 GTB/4 Daytona, a Pininfarina design, although the car was crafted at the Ferrari Styling Center.[12]
The internal of the 812 Superfast is motivated by both the prior F12berlinetta and the interior of the LaFerrari, primarily the pattern and location of the air vents and the contours of the dashboard.
As a division of the Ferrari's flagship prototype design, the 812 Superfast's hub control stack perpetuates to miss a principal infotainment display highlighted in entry-level prototypes such as the GTC4Lusso and Portofino, preserving solely a modest temperature display for the climate control system and dividing all vehicular status knowledge displays among the driver's multifunction tool bunch, as well as the passenger-side touchscreen stack display above the glove box area.
Similar to particular preceding prototypes, the 812 Superfast can be requested with specially-engineered, prototype name-tagged, multi-piece luggage package which fit into the vehicle's rear trunk.Interior, Comfort, and Luggage space
Ferrari's 812 cabin allows for two seats and boasts spacious quarters, ergonomic efficiency, and modern aesthetic design. Ferrari, in the interest of emphasizing the grand-touring nature of the 812 and promoting hands-on driving, has eliminated the usual steering-wheel stalks and instead incorporated push-button controls for wipers and turn signals on the spokes. In terms of storage capacity, the previous Superfast coupe outshone many competitors by providing 18 cubic feet of cargo space. However, this cannot be said for the convertible, the GTS, as the roof-folding machinery cuts the cargo space down to a mere seven cubes. Therefore, most of your luggage may need to be sent ahead.
Fuel Economy
The Ferrari 812, in all its forms, consumes fuel in significant amounts. While this is not necessarily a concern for a car in its price range, we still provide the fuel economy data for every vehicle for your reference. According to the EPA the GTS has average fuel economy of 12 mpg in city and 15 mpg on highway. The Lamborghini Huracán, a key rival of the 812, although it is equipped with a V-10 engine, performs slightly better, achieving 13 and 18 mpg in those respective environments. During our test drive of the 812 Superfast, we only managed to achieve 11 mpg, which was two points lower than the car's combined rating of 13 mpg; we have yet to obtain a GTS for testing purposes.
Driving Experience
Driving the Ferrari 812 Superfast is an unparalleled experience. The car's speed and power are remarkable, yet it remains smooth and polished. The engine generates a beautiful high pitched sound that is music to the ears, and the handling is accurate and responsive. The interior is sumptuous and comfortable, with top-notch materials and cutting-edge technology that elevates the driving experience to new heights.
